Teen Kills Younger Brother With Scissors Over Argument To Wear New Shoes In UP (X)
Maharajganj: A shocking incident has come to light from Uttar Pradesh's Maharajganj district. A 16-year-old boy allegedly attacked and killed his younger brother on Monday with scissors following a minor dispute over who would first wear a newly purchased pair of shoes, according to police.
This incident occurred in Chaumukha Nauka Tola village, under the jurisdiction of the Ghugli police station area.
According to initial reports, an argument broke out between the elder brother, who is identified as Suraj Sharma (16) and his younger brother, who is identified as Laxman Sharma (15), over a newly purchased pair of shoes online. Which began as a verbal spat after, Laxman insisted on wearing the new shoes first, soon escalated into a physical altercation.
How did the elder brother attack?
During the argument, Suraj became so enraged that he picked up a pair of scissors and attacked Laxman repeatedly. Laxman suffered serious injuries to his head and hands and collapsed at the scene.
What did the doctors say?
Lakshman, who was covered in blood, was immediately taken by his family to the community health center in Ghugli. Seeing his critical condition, doctors referred him to the district hospital in Maharajganj. However, when he arrived at the district hospital, doctors declared him dead.
What did the police say?
Upon receiving information about the incident, police arrived at the scene and began an investigation. Authorities have sent the body for a post-mortem examination.
Police officials said the accused fled the scene after the attack and remains absconding.
"No written complaint has been received so far. Once it is filed, a case will be registered and further legal action will follow," said Station House Officer Kunwar Gaurav Singh of Ghugli police station.
